PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for dyeing a polyarylate fiber capable of dyeing a polyarylate fiber at a practical dyeing density required for explorations of novel applications thereof, yielding a dyed polyarylate fiber unaccompanied by dyeing irregularities, and yielding a dyed product excellent in terms of dyeing fastness, above all light-resistant fastness; and a dyed polyarylate fiber.SOLUTION: The provided method comprises a dye application step of applying a vat dye or sulfide dye onto a polyarylate fiber, a solvent treatment step of treating the polyarylate fiber with a treatment liquid including a polar solvent, and, following this solvent treatment step, if necessary, a heat treatment step of treating the polyarylate fiber with heat; at least one dyeing operation cycle consisting of the combination of the respective steps is provided. |
