PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thrust bearing capable of performing an efficient cooling operation, restricting a reduction in a bearing load capability of the bearing and sufficiently restricting an axial motion of a rotary shaft.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a thrust bearing oppositely arranged against a thrust collar 4 installed on a rotary shaft 1. This bearing 3 has a pair of bearing bodies 30 each comprising: an annular bearing plate 8 formed with pump-in type spiral grooves; and an annular base part 39 supporting a diametrical central part of the bearing plate 8. The bearing bodies 30 are arranged at both sides of the thrust collar 4, respectively, while holding the thrust collar 4 therebetween. The paired base parts 39 are connected through an annular bearing-spacer 31 arranged outside the thrust collar 4. The base part 39 is formed with a guide groove 9b extending in a diametrical direction along a surface opposite to the thrust collar 4. The annular bearing-spacer 31 is formed with through-holes 35 penetrating from its outer peripheral surface to its inner peripheral surface. |
