PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular traction control system and a vehicular traction control method capable of appropriately terminating traction control even when a wheel speed of one of plural wheels cannot be accurately computed during implementation of the traction control.SOLUTION: When values of continuation counters CT1 and CT2 equivalent to a duration of a state in which a wheel speed VW of one of wheels is equal to or lower than a predetermined abnormal speed lower than the wheel speed of the other wheels under the circumstances that an accelerator is depressed are equal to or larger than count decision values CTTh1 and CTTh2 (Yes at steps S32 and S33), a control system sets a reference speed Vb to a value dependent on a wheel speed other than a minimum wheel speed VWmin and maximum wheel speed (steps S35 and S36).
