PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading apparatus capable of producing shading compensation data suppressing an influence of difference in distances between from an image reading part to a reference member and from the image reading part to a reading position.SOLUTION: When reading a manuscript G, an image reading apparatus 1 reads a white reference board (S12), generates shading compensation data SH1 (S14), and compensates the generated shading compensation data SH1 with a white reference data ratio RN calculated in advance (S16). Then, the image reading apparatus 1 compensates a manuscript read data Y that reads the manuscript G using the compensated shading compensation data SH1 (S22). |
