PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical energy absorption member whose structure is simple and which can stably obtain appropriate energy absorption performance with a long stroke.SOLUTION: First and second slit formation regions S1, S2 and a slit non-formation region 15 positioned between the first and second slit formation regions S1, S2 are provided so as to align in the axial length direction of a peripheral wall part 1. In the first and second slit formation regions S1, S2, by providing a plurality of slits 2 with intervals in the circumferential direction of the peripheral wall part 1, the gaps of the plurality of slits 2 are configured to be a plurality of fine plate parts 10, and each of the fine plate parts 10 of the first slit formation region S1 and each of the fine plate parts 10 of the second slit formation region S2 are inclined to different directions from each other with respect to the axial length direction. |
