The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition and a health supplement for preventing or treating thrombosis which include extract of Schizandra chinensis as an active ingredient and, more specifically, to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating thrombosis which includes ethanol extract of Schizandra chinensis as an active ingredient and a health supplement including the extract. The extract of Schizandra chinensis as the active ingredient of the pharmaceutical composition and health supplement for preventing or treating thrombosis is prepared, as being identified by an embodiment of the specification, by successively fractioning using hexene, ethyl acetate, and butanol after preparing the extract by extracting the Schizandra chinensis using ethanol and the likes. Ethyl acetate and butanol fraction, which show anticoagulation activities by enhanced direct inhibition of thrombin, inhibition of prothrombin, and inhibition of blood coagulation factors, can efficiently suppress blood coagulation and be used for preventing and treating thrombosis such as ischemic stroke and cerebral hemorrhage through blood flow Improvement.
