PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that as a knock member fluctuates in slide-contact with a point of a conical portion of a holding base when performing knocking operation, the base inclines a little toward a shaft center and a vector of pressing force toward the front of the base also inclines, and as conventionally a pressing wiper is arranged at a forward distance from the base and a slide guide portion in a longitudinal direction of the pressing wiper is distant from a point receiving pressing force from the base, the pressing wiper inclines more toward the shaft center and slide resistance increases, therefore making the knocking operation harder.SOLUTION: In the mechanical pencil, within a barrel or an end member of which a lead-delivering mechanism having a chuck that prevents a lead from retreating and a knock member capable of knocking operation for feeding the lead from whole circumference of the barrel toward a shaft line direction are provided, a position of a point where a pressing wiper receives forward pressure force from a holding base is approximately same in a longitudinal direction as a position of a slide-guide portion of the pressing wiper. |
