PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil pump capable of improving a degree of freedom in designing an internal combustion engine by restricting axial movement of an oil pump shaft, securing rigidity of an inner rotor, miniaturizing an oil pump, and eliminating restrictions in layout of the oil pump and peripheral components.SOLUTION: An oil pump (50) includes a thick first cover member (55) covering an oil pump housing (54), having a round hole (55a) of the approximately same diameter as that of an oil pump shaft (53), and supporting the oil pump shaft (53), and a second cover member (56) having a hole (56a) of irregular shape composed of a large-diameter hole (56b) and a small-diameter hole (56c). The oil pump shaft (53) has a groove portion (53a) formed in the circumferential direction and engaged with the small-diameter hole (56c) of the second cover member (56), the oil pump shaft (53) is supported by an oil pump housing (54) and the first cover member (55), the small-diameter hole (56c) is engaged with the groove portion (53a), and the first cover member (55) and the second cover member (56) are co-fastened to the oil pump housing (54). |
