In a plough in which groups of plough cutters 15 are mounted on supports 14 spaced apart in the direction of movement of the plough when operating on a face and are upstanding from a plate structure 12 having slitting cutters 27 and extending beneath a conveyer associated with the plough, each support 14 is provided with a resiliently mounted cutter depth limiting shoe 26. Also a floor cutter 16 is pivotable about a horizontal pivot pin 17 disposed in the support 14 at right angles to the length of the conveyer along which the plough is hauled so that it may be fixed in various inclined positions relative to the floor. |
