PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive solid polymer electrolyte membrane having excellent ion conduction characteristics, methanol crossover characteristics and mechanical characteristics.SOLUTION: The solid polymer electrolyte membrane includes a block copolymer A which is composed of a hydrophilic segment having an ion exchange group and a hydrophobic segment, and a block copolymer B which is composed of a hydrophilic segment having an ion exchange group and a hydrophobic segment and whose ion-exchange capacity is smaller than that of the block copolymer A, and has a structure in which an area A where the block copolymer A is agglomerated is dispersed in a matrix composed of an area B where the block copolymer B is agglomerated. A microphase-separated structure having a period between 10 and 100 nm is formed in the area A and the area B. |
