PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve staircase construction in which an upper end of a bridgeboard is tightly fixed to a building frame even when a wall substrate material is interposed and repetitive carpentry work is eliminated.SOLUTION: There is provided metal fittings 10 which are used to fix an upper end of a bridgeboard 23 of a staircase to a building frame 25 across a wall substrate material 26, and also formed of a wall face fixation plate 11 and a bridgeboard side face fixation plate 12 to be sectioned substantially in an L shape. A hollow cylindrical projection 14 projected outward from the wall face fixation plate is fitted in a projection housing hole 28 formed penetrating the wall substrate material along its thickness to bring the wall face fixation plate into contact with a wall face, and a screw 27 is run through the hollow cylindrical projection and driven into the building frame so as to fix a pair of metal fittings to the wall at an interval substantially equal to the thickness of the bridgeboard upper end. Then while the upper end of the bridgeboard is held between bridgeboard side face fixation plates, screws 29 are run through screw holes 16a, 16b of the bridgeboard side face fixation plate and driven into a bridgeboard side face to fix the upper end of the bridgeboard between the pair of metal fittings. |
