PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet loading device in which assemblability of a side guide having a rack and a pinion can be enhanced.SOLUTION: A sheet loading device comprises: a sheet loading part 11; a pair of side guides 12a, 12b for restricting the position of a sheet in accordance with the size of the sheet; a pinion gear 30 rotatably supported; a first rack part 31a which is so configured as to be capable of engaging with the pinion gear and moves integrally with the first side guide 12a; and a second rack part 31b which is so configured as to be capable of engaging with the pinion gear and moves integrally with the second side guide 12b. The pair of side guides is so configured as to be capable of moving from a position where the guides is detachable to the sheet loading part to a third position suitable for a maximum sheet through a second position suitable for a minimum sheet. The second rack part is not in engagement with the pinion gear during the second side guide is positioned between the first position and the second position. |
