PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission of a saddle ride type vehicle that enables quick shift operation without interruption of driving force and can reduce the weight and size of the transmission.SOLUTION: A transmission of a saddle ride type vehicle includes: a transmission mechanism 206; a clutch device 204 that includes a plurality of clutches 264a and 264b; a transmission change mechanism 208 that arbitrarily selects the transmission gear of the transmission mechanism 206 while interlocked with a change pedal shaft 292b to which turning force due to the operation of a shift pedal 48 is transmitted, to thereby perform transmission; and an ECU 230 that electronically controls connection/disconnection of the clutch device 204 according to the transmission position of the transmission change mechanism 208.
