PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system capable of reliably setting the number of available channels.SOLUTION: The communication system includes: plural communication terminals 1a, 1b, 1c which are connected to a transmission channel Ls1; a call control server 2 that controls communication between the communication terminals; and a communication setting server 3 that sets the number of available channels through the transmission channel Ls1. Each of the communication terminals 1a, 1b, and 1c performs a digital modulation on packetized signals in a manner of multicarrier modulation and multi-value modulation and transmits the signals. The communication setting server 3 outputs a transmission request for a PHY speed and an effective throughput to the communication terminals 1a, 1b, and 1c, and sets the number of available channels through the transmission channel Ls1 based on the PHY speed and the effective throughput from the communication terminals 1a, 1b, and 1c responding to the transmission request. The call control server 2 controls the communication between the communication terminals according to the number of channels set by the communication setting server 3. |
