PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect information as to whether a mounted process cartridge is a new one or not without using an optical sensor.SOLUTION: A moving member is provided in a process cartridge, the moving member moving between a position where driving force is received from a device body and a position where no driving force is received. A movable member 27 is arranged in the device body, the movable member moving according to the position of the moving member, and moving a first electrode part 29B between positions to be separated from and to be brought into contact with a second electrode part 31A. A detection part 33 is provided for detecting information on the process cartridge mounted on the device body by use of an electrical conduction state between the first and second electrode parts 29B, 31A. Information as to whether the mounted process cartridge is a new one or not can be detected without using an optical sensor. |
