PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an ion-exchange membrane in which characteristics such as strength, dimensional stability, and morphological stability are excellent, external solution leak from a cell holder can be prevented, furthermore membrane resistance is low, and high ion exchange capacity is possessed; and a production method of the same.SOLUTION: A composite ion-exchange membrane includes: an ion-exchanging sheet including a cationic polymer and/or an anionic polymer; and a supporting sheet that supports the ion-exchanging sheet. Here, the ion-exchanging sheet has: a surface which a liquid to be processed contact; a rear face to counter the surface; a sheet circumferential part; and a central part surrounded by the circumferential part. The ion-exchanging sheet is porous, the supporting sheet is not porous, and the supporting sheet supports the ion-exchanging sheet at the whole circumference part of the rear face of the ion-exchanging sheet. In addition, a production method of the composite ion-exchange membrane is disclosed. |
