A method for transmitting channel quality information about unit frequency band in a broadband multi carrier transmission system is provided to use limited uplink resource efficiently in the broadband multi carrier transmission system and to reduce control information overhead in a mobile communication system. Downlink signal is received from a base station(S30). The channel quality about one or more unit frequency bands based on the downlink signal is measured(S31). The channel quality information about the corresponding unit frequency band and unit frequency band information is periodically received(S32). The transmission cycle of the unit frequency band information and transmission cycle of the channel quality information are independent from each other. |
