PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor drive system by an inverter device in which the motor loss is reduced without increasing the switching loss of the inverter device, and to provide a power converter and a control method of a motor.SOLUTION: A drive unit of an AC motor including an AC motor, a PWM signal control unit performing pulse width modulation of a three-phase command signal by a carrier signal, and a power converter being driven by a pulse width modulated gate signal includes command voltage generation means generating a three-phase voltage command signal for driving the AC motor. The command voltage generation means controls the AC motor by a PWM waveform in which, for the carrier frequency and the harmonic components of PWM wave generated from a basic wave voltage command, the frequency distribution of the harmonic components is dispersed near the carrier frequency. |
