PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical waveguide device capable of minimizing the characteristic deterioration of an optical waveguide by preventing radiation light emitted from a bent part or the like of the optical waveguide from recombining with the original optical waveguide or another optical waveguide.SOLUTION: In the optical waveguide device having an optical waveguide 1 on a substrate, the optical waveguide includes a first branch section 3 for branching a propagating light wave and a second branch section that is disposed in the subsequent stage and further branches the propagating light wave. In the shape of the optical waveguide, a branch waveguide branched by the first branch section 3 is a curved waveguide. Regarding radiation lights 21-22 that can be emitted from a specific position R1 at which the tertiary differential value of the curve of the curved waveguide becomes zero, the optical waveguide disposed in the subsequent stage in the travel direction 20 of the light wave has a shape that inhibits the radiation light from recombining with the optical waveguide. |
