PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the decrease in the amount of detected signals without switching the pulse signal frequency of a drive pulse for a touch panel.SOLUTION: A drive circuit that outputs drive pulses to drive electrodes on a touch panel has a plurality of kinds of pulse widths that can be output for one kind of pulse signal period of the drive pulses that can be output. Thus, drive pulses having different pulse widths can be used for a signal period of the drive pulses and therefore, even when a voltage, which works via a floating capacitance by an external object such as a finger at an intersection of the drive electrodes and detection electrodes, is periodically changed undesirably, the pulse widths of the drive pulses are not constant for the period, thereby preventing an unignorable noise from being generated due to the periodic accumulation of the specific voltage on a detection signal. |
