The present invention relates to a current collector for a battery and a manufacturing method thereof, and the manufacturing method comprises the following steps: a step of providing a base substrate; a step of providing a metal mesh layer which is composed of a plurality of metal mesh patterns and holes positioned between the metal mesh patterns; a step of forming an adhesive layer on the base substrate; and a step of positioning the metal mesh layer on the adhesive layer and compressing the layers. An active material is coated on the metal mesh layer through the holes of the metal mesh layer so that a contact area between the metal mesh layer and the active material is increased to improve cycle lifespan characteristics of the battery by suppressing the separation of the active material from the current collector. |
