A touch panel according to an embodiment includes: a substrate; a sensor unit arranged on the substrate; a connection electrode connecting the sensor unit; and a light absorbing layer arranged on the substrate. The light absorbing layer includes an area arranged to be closer to the substrate than the connection electrode. The manufacturing method of the touch panel according to an embodiment includes the steps of: preparing the substrate; forming the sensor unit and the connection electrode on the substrate; and forming the light absorbing layer on the substrate. The light absorbing layer includes an area arranged to be closer to the substrate than the connection electrode.
