The present invention relates to a lighting apparatus for a cabin of a passenger ship and a lighting method in case of blackout occurrence thereof, including: a plurality of lights installed in the cabin; an exit light installed most closely to the plural lights and an exit; and an emergency power distribution part for supplying an emergency electricity to the exit light in order to check the exit of the cabin in case of blackout occurrence of the passenger ship, in order to meet an illumination regulation of an International Convention for the Safety of Life (SOLAS). The emergency power distribution part prepares a configuration of supplying the electricity supplied from an electricity generator of the passenger ship to the exit light before blackout occurrence. By using the lighting apparatus for a cabin of a passenger ship and a lighting method in case of blackout occurrence thereof, the present invention enables a user to use a light installed most closely to the exit among the plural lights lighting the inside of the cabin as an exit light, instead of installing an auxiliary light in order to meet the regulation of the SOLAS.
