PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a user's wait time.SOLUTION: An image recorder comprises: a recording section for recording an image in a recording medium; a plurality of medium storage parts stored with recording media of the same size respectively; a conveyance mechanism for selectively conveying the recording media stored in the plurality of medium storage parts to the recording part; and a maintenance mechanism. At the start of a maintenance period in which the maintenance mechanism maintains the recording part, a conveyance-source medium storage part is switched to one of a plurality of medium storage parts stored with recording media more than recording media stored in the conveyance-source medium storage part during the maintenance period when the number of recording media stored in the conveyance-source medium storage part is smaller than the remaining number of recording media needed to record all images associated with image data in recording media and there are the plurality of medium storage parts, stored with the recording media larger in number of the recording media stored in the conveyance-source medium storage parts, among the plurality of medium storage parts. |
