PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic induction type position detecting sensor that can accurately detect indicated positions in end parts even if an invalid area is narrowed.SOLUTION: In an electromagnetic induction type position detecting sensor, with respect to the left end of an X axis-directional loop coil group 21 in the X axis direction, for instance a second loop coil 21Xfrom the left end is given a plurality of turns. A long side part on the left end side of at least one turn of the loop coil 21Xis arranged farther toward the end than the left end sides of other turns. In this way, when reception signals of the loop coil 21Xare distributed as desired and a position indicated by a pen type position indicator is identified according to proportions of signals received by a plurality of loop coils, detection accuracy on the left end part is enhanced. |
