PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a selection method of solvent for electrolyte which can efficiently select a solvent suitably used for an electrolyte that can suppress production of dendrite.SOLUTION: In a lithium metal secondary battery using at least one kind of lithium alloy and a lithium metal containing lithium as a negative electrode material, and using a compound capable of storing/releasing lithium ions or anions in the electrolyte reversibly as a positive electrode material, a selection method of solvent for electrolyte that selects a solvent for electrolyte being added with vinylene carbonate selects an ionic liquid of high reduction stability reducing at a potential baser than the dissolution and deposition potential of lithium as the solvent. |
