PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corn dog mix from which a corn dog coating having voluminous appearance with a texture including a smooth, brittle and crispy surface and a readily meltable internal phase can be produced, without chronological reduction in the texture or reduction in the texture of the coating after reheating a frozen corn dog.SOLUTION: The corn dog mix includes a foaming agent having a foaming force of 10 to 50 mm by Ross-Miles method. Preferably the foaming agent includes 10 to 35 mass% glycerin-fatty acid ester, 5 to 20 mass% propylene glycol-fatty acid ester, and a solidification auxiliary, being in a powder form. The solidification auxiliary includes 3 to 15 mass% casein or sodium caseinate and 40 to 80 mass% dextrin. |
