PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an edge part treatment method for a hollow base material in which a bur is hard to occur, and can be finely finished even without performing post-treatment.SOLUTION: In a hollow base material 10 comprising: mutually parallel two liners 1, 2 made of a thermoplastic resin; and a vertical wall forming member 3 made of a thermoplastic resin and forming a plurality of vertical walls between the liners 1, 2, a heating member 21 is inserted, the vertical wall forming member 3 at least at the edge part of the hollow base material 10 is melted and the heating member 21 is moved to the outside of the hollow base material 10, a space is formed at the edge part of the hollow base material and also between the liners 1, 2, while curving the edge parts of the two liners 1, 2 to a mutually confronted direction, a curved face is formed, further, parts of the edge parts of the two liners 1, 2 are brought in contact with each other, the two liners 1, 2 are fused each other, and, in the part at which the two liners 1, 2 are fused each other, the part not forming a curved face is cut. |
