PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide pharmaceutical compositions which inhibit heat shock protein 90 (HSP90) and are useful for treatment of cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, infectious diseases, inflammatory diseases, autoimmune disorders, stroke, ischemia, cardiac disorders, sepsis, fibroproliferative disorders and metabolic diseases.SOLUTION: The pharmaceutical compositions contain tropane compounds having N-pyridyl substituents represented by the specified formula I. Representative examples include 6-[3-endo-({[2-methyl-3-(methyloxy)phenyl]carbonyl}amino)-8-azabicyclo[3.2.1]oct-8-yl]-N-({4-[4-(2-methylpropyl)piperazin-1-yl]phenyl}methyl)pyridine-3-carboxamide. |
