PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To widen a lighting area without making an upwards facing lighting fixture larger, in a lighting device for indirectly illuminating the inside of a room by installing an upwards facing lighting fixture at an upper end of a supporting column.SOLUTION: An upwards facing lighting device 2 is formed in a frame-like (loop-shaped) shape opened in upward and downward directions, and many LED lamps for irradiating light upwards are arranged at both sides interposing a space therebetween. It is possible to make a lighting area wider by widening a distance between an LED lamp 14 group on a front side frame and an LED lamp 14 group on a rear side frame while preventing or suppressing increase in the whole plane area, because the upwards facing lighting device 2 has the frame shape opened in upward and downward directions, and thereby the lighting device 2 can be reduced in weight. A hollow structure of a main body frame 10 can assure a high strength. Further, since a downward upper task light can be arranged through utilization of a space, its compact size can be achieved while keeping a high function. |
