PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hierarchical memory management between a server and a storage system, by using the RDMA technology.SOLUTION: A storage system comprises: a first-type I/F that is controlled so as to communicate with a server by using a remote memory access; a second-type I/F that is controlled so as to communicate with the server by using a block I/O access; a memory; and a controller. The controller performs the following: (1) managing a first section of a storage region of the memory which is allocated so as to store data that is stored in a physical address space managed by an OS on the server and is transmitted from the server via the first-type interface; and (2) managing a second section of the storage region of the memory which is allocated so as to cache data that is transmitted from the server to a logical volume of the storage system via the second-type I/F and is stored in a storage device of the storage system which corresponds to the logical volume. |
