PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition which satisfies demands for various performances of a pneumatic tire, particularly, steering stability and fuel economy performance in a high balanced level and which solves such problems that while increase in hardness and strength of a tire tread is effective to improve steering stability, increase in the characteristics degrades fuel economy performance, processability and vulcanization characteristics, and to provide a pneumatic tire using the rubber composition.SOLUTION: The rubber composition is prepared by compounding 5 to 100 parts by mass of silica and a specified organic acid salt by 0.7 to 15.0 mass% with respect to the silica in 100 parts by mass of a diene rubber including 50 parts by mass of more of a styrene-butadiene copolymer rubber. The rubber composition is used for a cap tread of a pneumatic tire. |
