PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the image quality of an object boundary portion when generating a three-dimensional image from a two-dimensional image.SOLUTION: A mask correction unit corrects a mask pattern set externally. A depth map processing unit processes the depth map of an inputted image in units of plural areas designated by plural mask patterns corrected by the mask correction unit. A three-dimensional image generation unit uses the inputted image and a depth map processed by the depth map processing unit, to generate an image from another view point. A texture analysis unit analyzes the texture of the inputted image. The mask correction unit changes the correction degree of the mask patterns on the basis of a result of the texture analysis. |
