PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a split-type retainer for a roller bearing, in which retainer segments are prevented from being damaged by preventing collision of adjacent retainer segments due to relative movement of the adjacent retainer segments in the circumferential direction.SOLUTION: There is provided a roller bearing which is composed of an outer ring, an inner ring, a plurality of rollers disposed between the outer ring and the inner ring, and a retainer in which a plurality of pockets for housing the plurality of rollers are formed in the circumferential direction, the retainer being composed of a plurality of retainer segments divided in the circumferential direction. In the roller bearing, a recessed groove 30 recessed in the circumferential direction and axially continued, is formed at one side in the circumferential direction of the plurality of retainer segments, and an elastic member 31 is inserted into the recessed groove, so that a clearance gap S is formed in the circumferential direction between the retainer segments 2 opposed to each other, by the elastic member. |
