PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading apparatus, an image reading system and a medium transfer apparatus, capable of transferring a first medium and a second medium having a different width, and facilitating visual recognition of a display image displayed on a display unit even changing the installation state of an apparatus body.SOLUTION: An image reading apparatus 1 includes: an apparatus body 30 having a first introduction port 11, a first exhaust port 12, a second introduction port 21, a second exhaust port 22, and a transfer path 10 formed therein; a reading unit 55; a display unit 70 provided in the apparatus body 30, and configured to display a display image; an acquisition unit 54 configured to acquire installation information reflecting an installation state of the apparatus body 30, or setting information set from the outside with respect to the installation state of the apparatus body 30; and a display control unit 54 configured to control the display unit 70 on the basis of the installation information or the setting information acquired by the acquisition unit 54, and change a direction of the display image displayed on the display unit 70. |
