PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film for reducing reflection of external light by controlling polarization planes, the film which does not degrade flexibility of an arrangement object.SOLUTION: An optical film 1 comprises: a linearly polarizing plate 103 comprising a transparent film substrate 132 and an optical functional layer 131; and a circularly polarizing plate 104 layered thereon, comprising a quarter-wave plate retardation layer 101, an adhesive layer 121b and a half-wave plate retardation layer 102. The quarter-wave plate retardation layer 101 or the half-wave plate retardation layer 102 is formed of a liquid crystal layer having a plurality of linear recesses and projections extending in a given direction, formed on the surface of the layer.
