PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Diesel engine capable of preventing the thermal damage of DPF.SOLUTION: After a control device 6 started the reproduction of DPF 1 at an exhaust gas temperature raising device 3, the control device stops the engine emergently with an engine emergency stopping device 7 if an exhaust gas temperature detected by a temperature detector 5 exceeds a predetermined engine emergency stop temperature. If the temperature in an exhaust passage 4 detected by the temperature detector 5 is at or higher than an engine starting inhibition temperature lower than the engine emergency stop temperature, the control means 6 causes an engine start inhibition device 8 to inhibit the start of the engine so that the start of the engine is blocked even if the engine starting operation is performed. |
