PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for harvesting functional fucoxanthinol from chicken egg and liver by rearing chicken with a certain feed.SOLUTION: In the method of invention, a fermented feed is prepared by mixing seaweed and Shochu (Japanese distilled spirit) waste to a formula feed followed by fermentation of a certain period of time, and fed to the chicken in rearing to convert fucoxanthin in the seaweed to fucoxanthinol by the liver function so that fucoxanthinol is accumulated in the liver and eggs.
