PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector with increased electric safety and user-friendliness.SOLUTION: A connector main body of an electric connector 1 includes: a contact section 43; a power shut-off section 10 having an electric conductor 10a connected with an electric cable CB1 in series to open/close a power supply line between an electric vehicle 2 and a power device 3 by bringing the electric conductor 10a into contact or releasing to open the same; a failure detection section 12 that detects a failure generated on the power supply line or receives a failure signal from the external; a failure transmission section 11 that, when the failure detection section 12 detects the failure or receives the failure signal, causes the electric conductor 10a to mechanically open; and a handle 21 that mechanically brings the electric conductor 10a into contact or causes the same to open in a state that the failure detection section 12 does not detect any failure or receive any failure signal. The failure detection section 12 detects at least one of a short-circuit current and an overload current generated on the power supply line as the failure. |
