PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element which is formed by using a relatively simply producible molding die and allows positioning without the need of removal of an air vent part formed by a resin reaching an air vent groove, i.e., burrs, and a molding die for production of the optical element.SOLUTION: In a lens 10, there is provided a flat surface 14f on the side of the optical axis OA in the optical surface OS2 with respect to the neighboring bent surface, and an air vent part 15 is protruded from the flat surface 14 in the outward direction perpendicular to the optical axis, allowing simple formation of vicinities of the air vent groove of a molding die. In a lens 10 to be molded, the air vent part 15 is formed in a range shorter than the distance of the neighboring bent surface of the flat surface 14f from the optical axis OA, allowing positioning without the need of removal of the air vent part 15. |
