PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make luminance of display light large by reflecting light made incident on a color filter substrate with a wall surface of a light shielding part so as to make the reflected light be a part of the display light emitted from the color filter substrate.SOLUTION: A color filter substrate of the present invention comprises: a first color filter layer; a second color filter layer; and a light shielding part for shielding light. In the first color filter layer including a first surface, a second surface opposing to the first surface and a side surface crossing the first surface and the second surface, an angle is acute between the first surface and the side surface, light passes (is made incident) in a direction from the first surface toward the second surface, the light shielding part is provided so as to contact with the side surface, a wall surface of the light shielding part provided so as to contact with the side surface reflects the light made incident from the first surface toward the second surface, and thereby luminance of the light from the first surface toward the second surface (display light) is made large. |
