PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone control device capable of automatically reporting an estimated time of absent mode cancellation based on a period of time until return from each place in the case where a person leaves his/her seat and enters a toilet, a smoking room or a conference room.SOLUTION: A telephone control device: accommodates a radio tag reader 2 installed at a specific place and an extension telephone set 2; receives ID tag information read from a radio tag 4 by the radio tag reader 3 and a place ID identifying the specific place where the radio tag reader 3 is installed; uses ID tag information storage means in which information relating to the extension telephone set 2 and the ID tag information stored in the radio tag 4 are correspondently stored beforehand, and required time storage means for storing beforehand an average required time for each user carrying the radio tag 4 to return from each specific place to his/her seat; and reports an estimated time of absence setting cancellation which is calculated from a reception time from the radio tag reader 3 and the specified average required time, to a calling source which calls the extension telephone set or to a predetermined destination. |
