PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid catalyst component for olefin polymerization which exhibits high hydrogen response and polymerization activity compared with an olefin polymer obtained by using a solid catalyst component using the conventional diol diester as an electron donor, a catalyst for olefin polymerization, and a method for polymerizing olefin.SOLUTION: The solid catalyst component for olefin polymerization comprises titanium, magnesium, halogen and an ester compound represented by the formula (1). Also provided is a catalyst for olefin polymerization formed from the solid catalyst component, an organic aluminum compound and an external electron donative compound. |
