PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that accurately performs correction of image forming conditions in which primary color toner images are formed on a latent image carrier, from color information on multiple colors acquired on the basis of output image information, so as to achieve an output image with further stabilized colors.SOLUTION: A copier 600 overlaps primary color toner images formed in a latent image writing unit 21 and four image forming units 18 that are image forming means, on an intermediate transfer belt 10 to form a multiple color toner image, and transfers the multiple color toner image onto recording paper P. The copier 600 includes a main control unit that: estimates color information of respective primary colors constituting the multiple color toner image on the basis of color information of multiple colors on the recording paper P acquired by a control scanner 900; determines density levels of the primary color toner images constituting the multiple color toner image on the basis of the estimated color information of primary colors and input image information; verifies the validity of the color information of the primary colors; and corrects image forming conditions of the primary color toner images on the basis of the density levels and validity. |
