PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent water entry from the external part of a car body into a car room more surely when a vehicle side door device includes a driving unit for driving a door to open/close with respect to the door opening of the side wall of a car body.SOLUTION: A vehicle side door device includes a door 23 for opening/closing a door opening 21 formed in the side wall 6 of a car body 2, side wall openings 38 and 39 for communicating the inside of the lower part of the side wall 6 with a car room 3, and a driving unit 47 inserted from the car room 3 into the side wall openings 38 and 39 so that one end is positioned on a car room 3 side and the other end is positioned in the lower part of the side wall 6 to be fitted to the lower part of the side wall 6 and configured to drive the door 23 to open/close. The device includes a cover body 60 fitted to one end of the driving unit 47 to cover one end of the driving unit 47 from the outside. The cover body 60 fitted to one end of the driving unit 47 closes the side wall openings 38 and 39 from the car room 3 side and are fitted to the lower part of the side wall 6. |
