PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery temperature rise controller in an electric vehicle, capable of raising the temperature of an on-vehicle battery, while suppressing the energy consumption from the on-vehicle battery.SOLUTION: When the temperature of an on-vehicle battery 70 is lower than a prescribed temperature and a motor 80 is not in operation, a controller 50 raises the temperature of the on-vehicle battery 70 by alternately repeating a discharging control that flows a d-axis current to the motor 80 by applying a d-axis voltage through controlling switching elements S1 to S6 of an inverter circuit 20, and a charging control, to be performed after the discharging control, that returns energy accumulated in the windings of the motor 80 to the on-vehicle battery 70 by lowering the d-axis voltage. |
