PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an acidic gas separation complex which has high separation efficiency of acidic gas and excellent productivity (cost performance).SOLUTION: The method for producing an acidic gas separation complex comprises: an extraction step of obtaining extraction liquid of an acidic gas carrier selected from alkali metal salt by bringing liquid containing at least one of a functional compound having at least one of an ion-exchanging ability and a chelating ability, and an alkali metal ion adsorbent into contact with an acidic gas separation complex in which an acidic gas separation layer containing a water-absorbing polymer and the acidic gas carrier selected from the alkali metal salt is formed on a porous support; an application liquid preparation step of preparing application liquid for forming the acidic gas separation layer by mixing at least the extraction liquid of the acidic gas carrier and the water-absorbing polymer; an application step of forming an applied film by applying the application liquid for formation of the acidic gas separation layer, on the porous support; and a drying step of drying the applied film to create the acidic gas separation layer.
