PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a practical aflatoxin production inhibitor high in safety that inhibits production of aflatoxin specifically and effectively; an efficient production method of the same; a norsolorinic acid production inhibitor that inhibits production of norsolorinic acid that is a biosynthetic intermediate in a biosynthetic pathway of aflatoxin specifically and effectively; an mRNA expression inhibitor that inhibits expression of mRNA of at least one of aflR, pksA, and omtA that participate in biosynthesis of aflatoxin; and an aflatoxin contamination control method that inhibits production of aflatoxin specifically and effectively.SOLUTION: An aflatoxin production inhibitor includes cyclo(L-Ala-L-Pro).
