PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll compressor which enables the cost thereof to be further reduced and besides, can reduce pressure loss of a discharged refrigerant and suppress generation of noise.SOLUTION: The scroll compressor includes: a compressing mechanism 15 in which a discharge port 41 for discharging a compressed refrigerant is formed; a discharged refrigerant passage in which the refrigerant discharged from the discharge port 41 flows; a valve element 71 positioned in the discharged refrigerant passage 47, and switching an opening state to open the discharge port 41 of the compressing mechanism 15 and a closing state to close the discharge port 41 of the compressing mechanism 15; and a back pressure chamber 72 formed at a side opposite to the discharge port 41 while the valve element 71 is interposed between them. In the discharged refrigerant passage 47, a passage reduced portion where a cross-sectional area orthogonal to the flowing direction of the refrigerant is reduced is formed on the way of the discharged refrigerant passage. Further the discharged refrigerant passage 47 is connected with a back pressure chamber communication passage 81 for communicating between the neighborhood of the passage reduced portion 49 and the back pressure chamber 72. |
