PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift drum structure which allows assembling work for assembling a shift drum to a transmission case together with a shift fork shaft to be easily implemented and which is therefore excellent in assemblability.SOLUTION: There is provided a shift drum structure of a drum type transmission (Ts) performing transmission in such a manner that a shift fork axially moving on a shift fork shaft (81) while being guided by guide grooves (91f, 91r) formed on an outer peripheral surface of a drum body (91) in a peripheral direction through turning of a shift drum (90) constituted by protruding drum supporting shafts (92, 93) from respective drum end walls (92w, 93w) at their both outsides toward both sides of the drum body (91) causes shifter members (63, 66) to slide on a power transmission rotating shaft (61). The shift drum (90) has a working groove (91s) which is formed to extend from one end surface to the other end surface or to the guide grooves (91f, 91r) near the other end surface while being faced axially in a direction crossing at a right angle with the guide grooves (91f, 91r) at the outer peripheral surface of the drum body (91). |
